March 15, 2026. Cold and muddy water in early spring.

I went to the river today. Water temperature was 48. It had been as high as 58 with warm preceding days. The water was muddy with spring rain. There were intermittent clouds and 25 mph wind–perfect spinnerbait conditons–which they would not touch. The swim jig though? That is a different matter. Here is the biggest smallmouth of the day.
